MOMS Offering Moms Support®
Ever feel like you're the only mother who stays home? MOMS Club of Antioch We are currently raising funds to assist a member of our MOMS Club chapter and a local family during their time of need for medical bills. One of our members was recently diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 29. If you are interested in contributing please email us at vpmembership@momsclubantioch.org. We are a non-profit organization and all donations are tax write-offs. Please check back with our website for future fundraisers.
The MOMS Club is a wonderful way to meet other at-home mothers who share your interests and concerns. With the MOMS Club, you have enriching activities for you and your children, during the day when you need support the most. And remember, with the MOMS Club, you can participate AND bring your children along. We believe that having children around is a natural part of being a mother. Having children and choosing to raise them ourselves should not isolate mothers-at-home!!
How did MOMS Club begin?
MOMS Club® was started in the fall of 1983 by our founder Mary B. James, when she, as a Stay-At-Home-Mom in California, decided she was tired of being alone at home. She wanted to meet other SAHM's and she wanted to find other SAHChildren for her children to play with. When she discovered there were no other organizations that met during the day and allowed her to come with her baby and preschooler, she decided to start a brand new organization just for SAHM's. MOMS Club was born. The first local chapter was MOMS Club of Simi Valley, CA. Word spread about the wonderful support that MOMS Club offered Stay-At-Home-Moms and we became a National organization in 1985 - and an International organization in 1996.
MOMS Club® is an IRS registered 501(3) nonprofit charitable support group for at-home mothers. There are now more than 100,000 members and over 2000 chapters in the US alone in addition to a growing number of international chapters.
